c:geo - Android GeoCaching

c:geo is simple yet powerful unofficial geocaching client for Android devices. In contrast with other similar applications, c:geo doesn't require web browser nor exports. You can just go geocaching with your phone and without any home preparation or worries. Of course, you can go without paying - it's free.

Try it! Use the barcode, search for "cgeo" on Android Market or download and install .apk file manually.

How To / Installation & Setup

For firefox only

Install greasemonkey plugin

Setup Browser and Device

Open send2c:geo page on http://send2.cgeo.org with Firefox or Chrome.
(IE is not supported!)
Install the script.
After succesfully installation of the script click "Register browser" on the right sidebar.
Optional: You can change the browser's name by click on it's name.
Run c:geo on your android device and go to settings.
On the bottom of settings page you can set up your "device name". Afterwards click Request registration.
If registration is succesful you will get a five digit PIN number.
On your browser click "Add a deviece" and type that PIN into.

On Geocaching.com page

Open any cache you want.
You should have a "send to c:geo" button on that page (Right next to "Send to my phone")

Finally

Start c:geo
Goto: Stored → Menu → Import → Import from web

Conclusion
c:geo start waiting in this mode for new caches from web. It will wait for 3 minutes. Please note: while waiting c:geo transmits about 5kb of data over internet per minute! Beware of this, if you are on 3G. Cache is stored in the current open list and it's downloaded directly from GC.com.
